Are you jumping head first into 2020 or walking softly and carrying a big stick? Whichever speed, consider starting the new decade with your hands in clay and learn how to make pottery! Create an “Intention Setting” (plate and cup) to use as a daily reminder of your focus and motivation for the year - functional and good safe! Located at Artful NJM Ceramics Studio on Friday, January 31st from 7:00-8:30pm. Beginners welcome just be ok to get a little messy. Invite a friend! Only 6 seats available, register early to reserve your spot. Price is $30.00 and includes clay, glazes, and kiln firing. Cash or credit card payment taken at the beginning of class. Freshen up your wardrobe at the P.E.A.C.E clothing swap/ fundraiser. February 23rd 2020 :: 3-5 pm. COME FOR THE CLOTHES... STAY FOR THE FOOD! Please bring up to 12 gently used items that you no longer wear. Shoes, bags and jewelry are also encouraged. You will receive one ticket for every two items you bring to trade. You may also give your tickets to another person if you aren't going to be using them! CAN'T BRING CLOTHES/ITEMS BUT WANT TO GET YOUR HANDS ON SOME GOOD FINDS?!? You can also pay the $5 dollar admission and choose any 1 item. Clothing drop-off begins at 1:00 pm on the day of the event. All remaining items will be donated. The event will be located on the lower level of Coventry PEACE Campus, off of the blacktop area across from the lower playground area. The organizations of Coventry PEACE Campus invite you to join us for our 2nd annual Coventry PEACE Chili Cook Off Fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 23rd, 2020. Tickets are $5 per person (or $20 per family) and include all-you-can-eat chili, fixings, sides, dessert, beverage and one vote for their favorite chili. Families will receive three “votes” for their entrance price. Attendees who wish to vote for more than one chili, can purchase extra “votes” for $5 each or 6 for $20. If you are bringing a piece (or pieces) with you for the critique, please let us know (including how many pieces) in the comments below so we can plan for the proper amount of time.
