Please join us for Holiday in the Heights.
Hosted by Cleveland Heights resident and Channel 19 award-winning journalist and reporter Vic Gideon, this benefit on Saturday, November 14, is a celebration of two beloved arts orgs, ARTFUL and Lake Erie Ink. The evening will be filled with theater, art, music, and poetry.
Four Cleveland-based playwrights volunteered to write new short, holiday-themed plays for the evening: internationally accomplished Eric Coble (Thanksgiving), Rachel Zake (Hanukkah), Mary E. Weems, Ph.D. (Kwanzaa), and Christopher Johnston (Christmas).
Students from Lake Erie Ink will read poems and short works from their recent book, “Lights, Camera, Action,” the tenth in a series of anthologies, released in May 2026.
The evening will close with a performance by The Hue People Vocal Ensemble, a highly acclaimed a cappella group specializing in jazz, R&B, spiritual, folk, reggae, and cultural vocal stylings.
An online auction will feature artworks and experiences from ARTFUL artists, as well as books, theater, and arts-related gifts donated by Cleveland Heights shops and organizations. Bidding opens November 1 and closes at 9:30 p.m. on the night of the event. Anyone can bid, even if they don’t attend, and shipping is available.
Ticket prices range from $30 to $70, with limited youth tickets available for $15. A $30 ticket includes entrance at 7 p.m. and all the poetry, theater, and music. A $50 ticket includes entrance at 6 p.m., all the fun, light appetizers, and a drink ticket. A $70 ticket gets you all the fun, light appetizers, two drink tickets, and a front-row seat.

ARTFUL Potluck Critique (January 10, 2027)

Please join us for our ARTFUL "Potluck Critique"! No... it's not a critique of the potluck itself, but it is a fun critique that includes a potluck meal... open to the public and all skill levels.Please bring your work for feedback (and a dish to share if you would like). Any and all media is welcome, and can be finished pieces or works in progress.ALL skill levels are encouraged to participate. Gentle guidance will be provided by some of the ARTFUL Board members. Get feedback, learn about new techniques, approaches, perspectives and offer suggestions.Not ready to bring your own work? Just show up and offer constructive insights.We will be holding these informal critiques on the SECOND SUNDAYS of January, April, July & October from 4-7(ish) pm.**PLEASE NOTE** We are now located in our own building at 2555 Euclid Hts. Blvd., Cleveland Hts., OH 4106. Please park in the side lot (Northwest side of the building) and enter through the main doors at the top of the circular driveway.
